We’re excited to launch Subscription Upgrades, the latest addition to your subscription business toolkit. Instead of locking customers into rigid subscription plans, you now have the flexibility to let them upgrade to longer cadences or larger packs. This puts customers in control, making them feel valued while driving more revenue for your store!

Why Subscription Upgrades Matter

- Higher Engagement, Higher Revenue: By offering customers personalized upgrade options - like switching from monthly packs to quarterly packs - you increase their loyalty with your brand and, ultimately, their Lifetime Value (LTV) and Average Order Value (AOV).

How to Set Up Upgrades

Setting up Subscription Upgrades is easy! Here’s how you can start offering personalized upgrade options today:

Steps to Set Up Upgrades:

  1. Navigate to Loop Admin: Go to Upsell > Customer Portal > Upgrade Profiles.
  2. Create Upgrade Profiles: Choose between two types:
  • SKU Upgrade + Frequency Change
  • SKU Upgrade Only
  1. Customize the Experience:
  • Set discounts and messaging for each upgrade option.
  • Add short descriptions for your upgrade offers.
  • Prioritize which upgrades to display first.
  1. Enable Immediate Charges (Optional): Decide whether you want to charge customers immediately after they upgrade from the preferences tab.

That’s it! Once enabled, eligible customers will see personalized upgrade options directly in their subscriber portal.

You can track performance using built-in analytics to monitor views, clicks, conversions, and dismissals.

  • Add checkout blocks: Go to Shopify admin > Sales channel > Online store > Theme of choice > Customize > Click on arrow next to Home page > Checkout and customer accounts > Apps > Add both app blocks from Loop Subscriptions

Reduce Churn with Cool-off Period in Cancellation Offers!

We're excited to announce a new feature that will empower you to retain more customers and reduce churn: Cool-off Period.

What is Cool-off Period?

Cool-off Period is a new subscription-level setting that allows you to determine when a customer becomes eligible for another cancellation offer after availing the current one. This feature provides greater flexibility in managing customer retention strategies.

Why is it Important?

Previously, if a customer accepted a cancellation offer, they were permanently excluded from receiving future offers on that specific subscription. With Cool-off Period, you can now strategically re-engage these customers once a predefined criteria is met, increasing your chances of retaining them.

How Does it Work?

You can configure the Cool-off Period in four ways:

  1. Don't Show Cancellation Offer Again: Customers who accept an offer with this setting will not be shown any future cancellation offers for that subscription.
  2. After Additional Orders Completed: Customers become eligible for another offer after a specified number of additional orders are completed.
  3. After Additional Revenue Generated: Customers become eligible for another offer after a specified amount of additional revenue is generated.
  4. After Time Gone: Customers become eligible for another offer after a specified period of time has elapsed.
