Backup Payment API endpoints are now LIVE 🚀

You can now add or remove backup payment methods on subscriptions using two new Admin API endpoints — helping improve payment recovery and reduce failed billing.

For brands using a headless customer portal, a dedicated URL is also available to collect backup payment methods directly from subscribers.

Cancellation Flow UX Improvements 🚀

We've refined the cancellation flow across the customer portal - improving post-save navigation, fixing button labels, streamlining the swap experience, and making offer messaging more contextual.

After a subscriber saves their subscription, they're now redirected to the top of the page where actions like Order now, Skip, or Reschedule are easy to find. Close buttons are replaced with accurate "Go back" labels, and single-product swaps are auto-selected to reduce unnecessary steps.

Migrate customer payment method directly via API

A new API capability now allows brands to migrate customer payment methods from external payment aggregators directly into Shopify, enabling subscriptions to be created in Loop using those migrated payment methods.

This is especially useful for brands capturing orders through external systems like IVR or telemarketing tools, allowing you to bring those payment methods into Shopify and manage subscriptions seamlessly in Loop.

You can now automatically add customer tags when a subscriber accepts a specific upgrade offer, making it easy to identify and act on those customers downstream.

Reward loyalty points/store credits via Flows and Reward journey

You can now reward loyalty points or store credits as a Flow or Reward journey action, delivered through your connected loyalty app. Supported apps include Yotpo Loyalty, Influence, Rivo, Okendo, and Rise.ai.

This gives subscribers more flexibility to redeem value on their own terms, rather than being limited to a fixed gift or discount. New personalization variables also let you show current and updated balances in reward notifications.

Let subscribers gift their upcoming order

Subscribers can now send their upcoming order as a gift to someone else, directly from the customer portal with a single click. They enter the recipient's details, the order is charged immediately, and their regular subscription schedule stays unchanged.

Gift orders are tracked in the admin portal with a "Gift" badge, captured in audit logs, and filterable in Subscription activity reports. Available on the Loop Pro plan.

Support to show billing and delivery dates on the subscription details page

You can now configure the "Last order details" message to display both billing and delivery dates directly on the subscription details page in the customer portal - with separate text fields based on your order schedule preference.

Subscribers no longer need to open a pop-up to find delivery details. The information is now front and center, reducing friction and improving clarity.
