Multiple Flow Triggers in a Single Flow 🚀

What’s New?

We’re excited to announce that multiple flow triggers can now be configured in a single flow! This major update eliminates the need for repetitive flow setups, making the process of managing flows easier and more efficient for brands.

How It’s Useful

Reduce Setup Effort: Instead of setting up the same conditions and actions for each trigger separately, merchants can now configure a single flow with all relevant conditions. This will save a lot of time and effort when setting up complex flows.

Focus on Goals, Not When: This update shifts the focus from determining when to trigger the flow to what the brands want to achieve. Merchants can now focus on the outcome, not on the individual triggers.

Easier Flow Management: Now, managing and editing flows will be much simpler and more efficient.

How it works:

1. Setting Up the Flow:

  • When creating a new flow, you’ll first choose the triggers you want to include.
  • Previously, users had to select the trigger first, but the new process now allows brands to set conditions and actions before selecting the trigger. Once triggers are chosen, the conditions (If) and actions (Then) blocks will appear.

2. Editing Triggers:

  • If you edit the selected triggers, the system will check which conditions are no longer relevant to those triggers and display a warning before removing them. This ensures that nothing gets lost during the editing process

3. Flow Execution

  • The flow will now run whenever any of the selected triggers is activated, checking for relevant conditions and running the appropriate actions when conditions are met.
  • Example: You can set a flow to update shipping (Action) based on subscription value (Condition) when subscription is created, products are modified, or discounts are modified (Triggers).

4. Flow Listing UI:

  • The flow listing UI now shows all selected triggers as comma-separated values. You can hover over the triggers to see all the mapped triggers for the flow.

Real-World Examples

  • Shipping Price Flow: Configure a single flow that applies the correct shipping price across the subscription journey, triggered by events like subscription created, order placed, products modified, or discounts modified.
  • Unified Bottle Deposit Flow: Set up one flow to adjust the bottle deposit based on triggers like subscription created, products modified, or order placed, eliminating the need for multiple separate flows.
